Here’s something I didn’t know that now seems completely obvious with hindsight: Moving is exactly like competing in an endurance race. You spend several months preparing for the big day so that it’s as low stress as possible, and it still winds up being one of the most hectic days of your life.* 

*(Shoutout to our actual movers. I’ve never seen anyone lift a spin bike and carry it up a flight of stairs like it was a beachball before.) 

When you’re finally all done, all you want to do is take a week or two off to recover. Weekly newsletters don’t care about one’s well-being. Here’s what’s been happening while digging my way through piles of unopened boxes like the pain cave at Mile 87.
