Last week’s post about turning your run into practice generated a number of responses in the comments from our wonderful paid subscribers about the importance of breathing. After all, what could be more fundamental to an aerobic activity than inhaling and exhaling? 

We all know it’s not quite that easy. Depending on the context and circumstances, breathing can be quite challenging. Even the most well-conditioned runner will breathe heavier during a workout or a long run, as opposed to a short jaunt around the neighborhood.
