I’m going for a run right after this week’s newsletter hits your inboxes. It won’t be a long run, and it definitely won’t be fast, but I’m not about to be picky right now since it’s been two weeks since my last run of any kind. 

The last 14 days have been equal parts helpful and frustrating. Helpful because my body needed that time to heal a quad strain, and frustrating because, you know, there was no running. 

The green light to resume activity came after meeting with a physical therapist earlier this week. There’s some lingering tightness that still needs to work itself out, but baseline strength and range of motion have returned to normal levels.  

I’m more excited than nervous about getting back out there, but mainly I’m appreciative of all the things I did during the rehab process to help get me back out there. That includes all the things I didn’t do that could have caused a setback.
