For most of my training life, my VO2 max hovered around 43. According to the chart that came with my watch, that’s ‘Good’ for a male in their 40s, which sounded just fine to me. As any middle aged grinder knows, there’s nobility in maintaining a solid level of fitness. It means we’re trying, that we’re not content to slide into obscurity or obsolescence…
