Man that was good. Thank you for putting that out. I've read and watched a lot of tributes to Ozzy this week and this was easily one of the best. RIP Ozzy

This hits and hits hard. I'm from that same generation and I was that kid. Surrounded by skaters and stoners and living as if no one would ever die on the island of misfit toys. No internet to tell us we were wrong or influencers to try to tell us what to like. Two of the biggest influences on me have now gone, Ozzy and Lemmy. Both brutally honest, funny as hell and each of them did more nose beers than humanly possible, not ironically also the best of friends. Both heavily influential on some of my current day favorites, the best being High On Fire.

Sabbath is and always has been the barometer for me, of who I know I'll get along with to some capacity and who I won't. I'll admit that while this news has been painful for musicians, fans and anyone with a heart, I can honestly say that no one could've said goodbye in a more perfect way than he did in Aston just a few weeks ago. Brilliant and loved and doing what he wanted to do most in life. I'm still weeping.

You know what they say, "you can only trust yourself and the first six Black Sabbath albums,"

I have no idea where I first had that phrase about the first 6 sabbath albums, but my god it's true. I'm glad he got to live long enough for that final show. Ozzy will always be eternal, and so will Sabbath.

Henry Rollins! It’s one of his great quotes. Another icon.
