Congrats Paul! This is such a huge accomplishment and you crushed it!

Thanks for sharing your journey. Your running adventure has been inspiring, and RP in general has been such a bright spot for many of us during these tough times.

Thank you, Travis. Sending me a link to Unbreakable was HUGELY motivating. I was totally channeling Geoff Roes at the end.

amazing! I ROUTINELY say to myself on my long runs: "time to channel Geoff Roes". :)

This is when I started doing a little cry at my desk. It must have been amazing, Paul. Thank you so much for sharing this with us. Good luck with the recovery!

I loved reading this Paul. As someone who has been going back and forth on running a half marathon this might be my boost to go for it (I've been trail running for awhile and I need a purpose for it too). Also, like other readers the tears came on slowly and offered a cathartic release. Thank you for this.

I have been WAITING FOR THIS! Paul, you're an absolute icon! We all have good days and bad days but reading this is enough to inspire anyone back into a positive state of mind. This made me cry knowing how hard you've worked and that you were able to actually enjoy the ride. You LEGEND! I hope you ate all the food and savored every second of post race bliss. It's beyond deserved!
