Can I tell you that my life has been exactly this lately. Thanks for the reminder to breathe.

With that, I've fallen behind on the HR posts and plan to catch up as soon as I catch my breath. Have a great weekend. Hopefully, you find your own time to breathe.

You can tell us anything, Tracey. What do you always tell me? Give yourself some grace.

Maybe it's an end of summer thing, but definitely had a lot of "life" happening lately as well. I've been keeping an eye on my HR when I run, but given where things are at in training, I'm not focusing too hard on it. Once I hopefully get through my marathon in late October, I want to spend the winter giving it more of a try.

Dude, so much life happening. Just focus on running your race and put that all on the backburner. There's so much time to get there.

Funny, I'm going the same path. I've been taking note of highs and lows and how I'm feeling but more just putting in the miles for New York. Feeling good about how things are going so I don't want to get bogged down in details like this yet. Once I'm past it, I'll focus more. I hope your training is going well!!!

You know, if you can identify the root cause of the bogging, bet you would get unbogged.

You're very likely correct, you usually are! I need to catch up on the other two posts first. When I have tried to take note of high HR and lower and avg HR I feel like its been really affected more from weather. The swings from heavy humidity and heat vs dry and cooler. I don't fair well in humid weather. I'll learn! I promise.

Tracey, it's not YOU. Everyone deals with weather on whatever level they deal. I can run for hours in humidity, but turn to dust in direct sunlight. Don't worry about all that blah blah blah right now as my son likes to say. Find your joy, look for your purpose. It will get you back on track.

Direct sunlight combined humidity is my absolute kryptonite. Kills me every time. I see your wish for joy and send it back!

I'm about to take a big step up! Tomorrow I'm running 17 miles, which will be 2 miles more than my longest prior run ever. So, excited and nervous about that.

Go crush it, David! You're going to do great. Stay positive and enjoy the ride, that's what I always try to tell myself.

I did it! And actually seeing some heart rate improvement. The weather is likely a factor, but even still, I'm super excited about it!
